Central Florida Orchid Society

So I went to my first orchid society meeting last night. It was the monthly meeting for the Central Florida Orchid Society.

I am a bit of a wall flower (excuse the pun) so I got there right at starting time, watched the slide show and looked at the orchids that were there for judging. There were some really nice orchids there. And although I didn’t know anyone there I talked to quite a few people. Very nice folks in this group.

So when I got there the first thing I did was buy some raffle tickets. At the end of the show they drew tickets for orchids and I won a nice Mtssa Dark Star “Darth Vader” that was in spike. Which is really cool since I have three of these that won’t be spiking for another year or two.

The wife and I are going to join in a couple weeks at the society auction.
