Default Identification help, please

Neither my husband or me can figure out what kind of orchid this is and I don't have the original name tag it came with. Is it an oncidium? What are it's light requirements? Thanks!

It's habit and flower resembles the oncidium alliance, but I'll let someone more qualified answer.

I agree with Paul, it looks like an oncidium of some sort. There are so many hybrids it is likely not possibly to put an actual name to it.

Thanks! What amount of sun do they need to do best? I live in south florida where there's lots of sun and not much moisture right now. Currently I have them outside all day.

They need a medium amount of sun (to generalize) This is such a huge group and some don't like a lot like the Odontocidiuns, Vuylstekeara, Miltoniopsis, etc. But others take rather high light. So since it is un-named, you could slowly increase the sun until it seems to be happy (med to light green leaves and no sunburn). Most Oncids do not like to be completely dry. Water well when it approaches dry.

I've seen a similar one in a catalog recently & I would lean toward it being an Odontocidium. The similar one is Odcdm Catatante, the lip on yours is slightly diff' to the one I saw. Your plant is in desperate need of attention though. Its dehydrated & on the verg of becoming extinct.
Change the mix to one that hold moisture but not wet, even pure perlite would be ok, plastic pot, shallow, 60% shade & a very weak feed in about 3 weeks and once a week after that.
