Default Should I change this moss?

I am very new to neofinetia and just recently got one. I have potted it into fresh moss just in January. Now the moss has sprouted and looks green.
Is it bad for neo? Should I change the moss again?
It is not rotting and doesn't smell.
Thanks a lot.

That looks pretty fresh to me and should still be fine
It's probably worth doing this annually with moss.

That looks fine to me, moss can do that on the surface. I don't grow neo's myself but my masdies in moss have all done the same and I never worry about it.

Mine too and it's just algae. I don't think moss that has been dried out totally ever becomes alive and grows. It LOOKS like it does because of the algae which IS alive.

I agree with Chryss that it's algae.

I've never seen sphag grow again, although I have seen local types of moss start growing on the surface, one of my mounts has quite a covering over the base of the orchid but seems to like it so I leave it.

That makes more sense since my moss came from pet store and was in those pressed packages that I needed to wet to expand. No way it could be still alive.
So I guess algae is ok then, right?

Yeah, it's fine! I have a few things with algae on them. It is not a problem.

Besides your Neo looks like it's doing really well and that is what's most important!
