Here is a picture of my girlfriend with our Oncidium Ampilatum, it is out first flower spike on this orchid.
After it grew to 40", I decided to add a pole to ensure it didn't wobble at snap.
It is currently at 51" in height and should have a finishing height of around 60" or so.
We have other oncidium's that produce similar flowers, but this one will blow them away I think at least in numbers, but I hope the quality is there.
I never regret the moment at Lowes when my GF wanted to buy it and I was like "Uh, do we have the room for another Orchid??". One of the few non-greenhouse purchases I have grown to like.
