There are many orchid shows in my area...but I work at night and sleep by day...I just have to organize myself to wake up and go to one.

I can imagine that your schedule makes it tough then! But it's so worth it to go at least once. Trust me, you are going to feel like a kid in a toy store!

These lists make me sad... I had most of these plants but had to get rid of them when I moved..

I am so looking forward to the fall of 2014, then it will be a free for all..

I'm well aware of that so I should enjoy the relative peace I'm feeling now.

If I could I would probably buy half of Sapphire hybrids and species, but lucky me they don't ship outside of the US so that's a no go.

My wife's residency (Small Animal Internal Medicine) is done in July 2014 so we will be returning to the US. I don't wanna build up my collection again only to have to sell it again to get it back into the US. My papers state that I had 30 plants when I came, and only those will be allowed back when I move back without having to get additional permits (Phyto/ Cities)

Therefore as soon as we get settled (grow area set up), I can once again start ordering. I will likely order wholesale from Ten Shin and a few Hawaii growers to get the ball rolling...

Everyone has a great wish list, keep them coming!

Tsuchibuta, I see Ten Shin is coming to the Santa Barbara International Orchid Show in a few weeks. You like his stock? Looks like he has some pretty rare things! I might be heading to that.

I take a limited amount of cash to shows--it saves renting a truck. : )

I know the owner..... so I'm kinda biased, and he's good about getting stuff that's hard to find domestically. - the only downside I like to grow big things (Grammatophyllums - Phaius) and most of what he carries are miniature - small because shipping from Taiwan can be so expensive.
