Help... New Leaf Wilting! Male
Default

Yeah! The leaf perked back up this morning!! I didn't do anything. Thank you all for all of your help! By the way, for the others of you who have your phals in sphag... do you think it's normal for it to dry out to the touch every two to three days? If I stick my finger down to the middle it's slightly moist, but the very top is bone dry. Should I water at this point, or should I have already watered? Just wondering... Thanks again!

Glad to here its rolling along again!
Yup sphag does have a upper crunchie feature to it while the middle and lower areas' do stay moist for a long period of time. Thats' why I add large grade perlite to even out and avoid rotting in the middle and lower layers of the pots, so when the tops begins to dry out, so does the rest of it.

I do allow my sphag to dry out, but no more then 1 day - after that, I flood the pots again.
