I know Joann! Don't i have a great gf!!! )

My pleasure sharing my cool new peloric plant!

I sent a pic to the breeder i got it from and he told me he has never seen this kind of mutation in the 10 years of breeding psychopsis. He also said it was the first flowering for the plant so i'm crossing my fingers!

Wow, sounds like you may have something REALLY unique then whether it's a permanent mutation or not!

My psychopsis just bloomed for the second time and still peloric ))!! Used normal water with no superthrive, so can't blame that. Very cool! Good sign that the plant is peloric!

Cool!! I think you'll have to wait for another spike to know if the plant is a permanent peloric, it could just be the spike. But still, since spikes last so long you'll have lots of peloric blooms!

Just downright awesome. This should be breed stock - is pelorism (is this a word?) a dominant or recessive?

Does the bloom hold up? Or does the added surface area cause the bloom to fade faster?

New pics?

I'll post pics later today when I'm home from work and it's fully opened. The last bloom I had last about 3 weeks. Not sure if that's normal or not, this is my first psych so it was a surprise! Haha.

It's probably a recessive gene but I have no clue whatsoever

Bad picture of the flower. This time the flower opened sorta sideways, but it just uncurled so maybe itll straighten out and look better. We will find out in time i guess haha.
