Help! Yellow spots on my Vanda Denisoniana leaves?
These yellow spots just suddenly appeared this week. None of my other vandas have these.
I think there's some black spots on the main stem now forming too...so i started hanging the plant upside down..
This vanda is located on the forefront of my plastic greenhouse so it gets the most sun... but not too much sun since my GH is facing east and gets only about 2 hours of sun in the morning.
(Temps this week in SoCal have been in the high 60s, low 70s.)
Unfortunately, yeah. I have overhead water sprinklers that go off 3x/day. I just started hanging the vanda upsidedown so the water doesn't stay on the leaf axils bec I'm starting to notice the water doesn't evaporate by nightfall. Mb I should lessen the frequency of the watering... I hope that's all I have to do... As I'm getting confused what fungicide to get!
Sounds like a good plan. If it's not dry by nightfall, it's getting watered too often or too late in the day or both. Vandas generally need one good watering in the morning, unless you live in a desert. I use a 3 in 1 fungicide/insecticide/miticide, it has neem oil and I think soap in it.
