Your mix is fresh, so you can re-use it. Most of us don't use the marbles/rocks at the bottom, but it certainly won't hurt any if you do, and at least you are sure that the drainage is good.
For the pot, either you just rinse it out, or if you like to be cautious, use a little bit of bleach. If it's a clay pot though, you'll need to rinse it very well in that case.

Ok so I will repot it today, no more direct sunlight. Yes believe it or not it was given to my mom as a gift about 10 years ago. I know its been more than 7 years for sure. It stayed in the same pot and the same mix for that whole time so I don't think it did too well and so therefore didn't grow.. That's what I came up with at least.
I have been looking through site and have found a lot of information. I have also found a lot of info elsewhere so there has been a lot to take in. One person says this while the other says to do or try something different... It'd be nice to have a list of 'must have items'; 'should have items' for newbies on a budget. I gather that plain Listerine is one of those items.

Thank you Camille.... I am getting everything ready as I am responding. My 3 year old is outside waiting for me..
One last question, should I still use the Cinnamon but in a paste form and only on the wounds? I don't have any plain Listerine so if anything it'd have to be Cinnamon paste.

I myself resort to home made remedies first before I go get the big guns...chemicals are really not my friend and they also smell nasty...

You can use cinnamon in paste or dry, but only dab it on the cuts. Then it's fine!

Listerine is only a suggestion, in case you has some on hand. It's only one of the many home remedies people use.

I'm like Bud, chemicals are only as a last resort.

ok so heres what the roots look like...what do you all think? should i cut off that long yellowish one?

The yellowing becomes green at the tips so you need not cut it off...
I see the root formation and the crown formation...it is really a very old plant.
Too bad it came to you at this stage...
If you inherited it at least 7 years ago it would have been a magnificent plant...
but anyways now that you know what to do I am sure this will perk up and start growing large leaves, large long robust roots and bloom many flowers for you

That doesn't look very nice But it will probably survive! Leave the root on, color is not an indication of health. Anything firm is good.
It's going to need an even smaller pot I think. One thing that stimulates roots is to lightly spray the top of the media and exposed roots every day. The extra humidity at the base of the plants seem to help coax new roots.
