I can't believe the anti bird sentiment I agree with HeidiN, just use common sense and avoid the hype. Birds are a part of nature just like orchids, and yes in the wild there would be bird poop on chids. My husband was a wildlife rehabilitator and this thread reminds me of when an irate woman called and wanted us to get the birds out of her tree because they were pooping on her car. We gave up being rehabilitators not because of the animals but because of the people like her. We have birds, our driveway is in a fly zone and our cars are used for target practice, but we wash the poop off the cars and all is well with the world. We still feed the birds; I can’t imagine a world without them.

i once have a crow poop right on my plate - i was eating alfresco. end of the story, i left my plate and swore never to eat there again.

i didn't hate birds. my cats especially love watching the perching on trees or the electric wires. i hate them pooping on my cars though, but i just wash the poop away. i just water the poop off my plants too

I was kinda suprised too, to be honest. Most orchids in the wild would starve without birds.
