I snapped a spike this year, but it only broke 50% through. I splinted it with some paper clips and wire and the thing kept growing, even branching, with about 12+ large blooms!! If the plant wants to bloom, it will bloom!!

Good luck with your broken spike, hopefully it'll grow another!!

So the spike kept growing! And it is growing either a root or another spike right above it! I think it is a spike because it is bright green like the other one was and looks more fibrous than spongy. EEEE!
