Hey all ...Well, this has me stumped (shocker!!) :big grin: I have a Miltassia that seems to has about 3 new growths / shoots, but each time the center leaf continues to grow -- it fades to brown....it is almost like there is a blockade at a certain point in the leave. What is go gin on ...this same exact thing happened to all the new growths....
I don't know what's going on either, but if it's happening to the same growth over and over it can't be good. Is it happening to any other new growths?

It seems to be happening with all the new growths? I am thinking today I will check the roots and repot...
Going out on a limb here, and only because I just read about this. But could it be caused by too moist of a potting mix - either from breaking down or watering too frequently? Again, don't really know, just throwing it out there. Hope you can get this resolved!
I'm curious too, but don't really have any ideas why. If the plant is healthy enough to put out new growths I don't know why the centre leaf would go. I would guess maybe water in the crown-except then it should brown from the base upward. I have had a centre leaf on my Miltoniopsis plants go brown like that but never even saw the gradual change. So I don't know which direction it started from and again don't know why. They are usually my less robust ones tho so it could be a root issue.
So....I took the plant out of the container...and to my amazement, there was a potting container inside the original container...with Sphag stuff all around it. The small pot inside (about 1.5 inch) was stuffed with roots as well as the second Layer" or Sphag....
I am repotting in fresh mix and one pot and will see if that was the reason. My thinking is that maybe the roots did not have room to grow at all and could not transport nutrients to the new-growth leaves...seems logical.
