I am very happy with the feedback I got for this thread. Do I need to close it? If so, how?

No need to close any thread. All threads are open for further comment, be that today or next year.

I have two plants; one on a mount under lights and one in moss in a SW window. Neither is doing a thing growth-wise. I guess patience is the virtue?? here. Wish I could help.

If the roots aren't rotted out and the leaves look like they're going to stay intact, then yes, patience is the key. They are slightly faster growing than Phals are, but they are still slow growing.

But Phals are quite fast I think!! Sedirea makes Phals look like Ferraris, my Sedirea put out 3/4 of a leaf while some Phals grew 2 in the same period....

Funny...
I've had a different experience. I've had Sedirea japonica grow faster and more robust than any of my Phals.
Maybe Sedirea may be faster than certain Phals. Phal equestris may be faster growing than Sedirea japonica, but Sedirea japonica may be faster growing than Phal modesta or Phal tetraspis, idk.

Or my Sedirea is particularily slow.... If I compare specifically to the fast Phal equestris, that one put out and bloomed 4 spikes in that time.

Unless mine is actually made of plastic, it is definitely slower growing than all my phals...

Sederia japonica
I have been following this. I have the same problem with two plants. One mounted, one in moss. Will see what happens.

While mine has had no new growth for almost a year, there are tons of new roots growing. I'm taking that as a good sign, lol...
