Your plants are happy and healthy. I see that the Phal leaf is deep green, nice and perky; you have long spiked flowers; you didnt say the name of the Phal but I suspect its a mini...do not cut the spikes unless it turns brown and dry...you might get more blooms from it and maybe a baby plant(keiki)

the oncidium is having faded blooms (this is normal=flowers wither and die)but the leaves are clean, no black spots from cold water drops, no browning of the tips and it is robust, crisp and perky...

you must have found a good watering regimen because your plants are thriving well in your care.

I totally agree with you. The two libraries near and in my town know me by my first name. They see me coming and pull a chair over to the 635. section of the library and hand me a cup of coffee. Learning about orchids goes much better if you have a cup of strong coffee.

Wow, nice library!

Your plants look fine Sebastian. Just make sure that you have checked the roots if they are recent purchases. Often, especially with Phals, but others too they come packed in too much moss and the roots at the centre can never dry out causing root rot very quickly. I always re-pot Phals as soon as I get them, even if they are in spike or bloom. It doesn't seem to bother them. They need to be able to dry out at the root ball and have a few air pockets in the root system.

The oncidiums have finer roots depending on what kind you have and can rot easily too. they usually like a little more even moisture and don't need to completely dry out, but check what's happening in the pot if its a recent purchase.
