Default Hoping for some help

I purchased a macodes petola early fall and all seemed great for a bout 2 months, when I started to notice it looked as though something was eating the leaves. Well I searched and re-potted and found nothing, until I was looking at it one day and I had snails attacking it! They were so small that re-potting them I didn't get the little buggers. So sadly to say my macodes is going downhill very fast! I spoke to the vendor about it, but he said something about it going into rest period (?), I personally think the snails are to blame here. Well my question is I have looked and looked and there really isn't very much that I can find out about this type of jewel. Is there anyone here who knows of any links for macodes petola. I am really not holding out much hope for it, but I would like to try and give it a fighting chance. I finally got all the buggers, but It's down to 1 leaf and I can't even tell what are roots on it anymore..Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Hi,
Like most jewel orchids ,it needs high humidity, low light, and warm temps.
Put it in a bag with moist(not wet) sphagnum moss, and it should come back.
You are right, they dont have a resting period.
