Bud here is the Vanda plant see if you can identify her. She had no name tag when I got her. This picture is on 11-27-2011 when I first noticed the spike on her.
That is a young Mokara alright...but I was wondering why you mounted it on drift wood when it is doing fine in a basket? Set it free and let it hang loose...
You are in Central Florida and your atmosphere is humid enough to sustain the roots from drying up...just dont let it get colder than 50 degrees F below...
This plant loves to feed a lot and drink a lot...you can even put this in direct sunlight...
in a couple of years this will double in size and produce more big roots
That is a beauty! I think my asco Suksamran spot should be similar, but it does look a lot like Bud's mokara. I also bought a vanda without knowing what it would look like. It is Arjuna wink, and although I was a little disappointed when I looked up what colour it will be, it is supposed to be fragrant!
