Piping Rock Orchids? Looking for feedback.

I have been looking at phrags too, although am still in the trial mode before buying whole bunch.
I have Phrag pearcei third month here and it is doing great, growing new roots and leaves; second one - Phrag. Olaf Gruss is coming next week.
If they will hang on - I will definitely be buying more.
Which ones did you get? How are they growing for you?

I have many Phrags, the ones that I purchased from Piping Rock were: Phrag sedenii, Phrag Mountain Maid, Phrag Cardinale, Phrag Carol Kanzer.
I also have Phrag China Dragon, Phrag Eric Young, Phrag Eugene Conroy, Phrag vampire slayer, Phrag Ecua-bess, Phrag longifolium, Phrag Sorcerers Apprentice.
They are all growing well, and are healthy, growing new starts.

Nice plants, would not hesitate to order from them again. Glen was a speaker at our society meeting, so we were able to pre-order. What are their shipping policies and costs for shipping to Canada?

NeoNJ, you have a great collection of Phrags. Of course I had to search for the pics of Phrag vampire slayer first. What a name!
I hope my trial ends successfully and I will buy more of them too.

Oscarman, I wasn't thinking about shipping. They are travelling to our annual show in April, so I hope to pre-order plants to pick up at the show.

That's wonderful - great opportunity for you and I would jump on it. I was actually just looking at their travel schedule and see that they are in Canada 2x this year! So you are in the Ottawa area. Great for us Canadians!

I ordered a few BS lowii and rothschildianum plants last summer in addition to several smaller ones I have. One is spiking now although I may cut it off, the plant is not really very established. They came from Orchid Inn when Sam was in eastern Canada and also from Zephyrus Orchids. All nice plants.

4-5" delenatii isn't like a 4-5" roth. I would think it will bloom this fall or certainly the year after. They aren't big plants. Go for it!

Bought a fairrieanum and Paph. Lefty Kei. Fairrie came in bud and bloomed beautifully. Lefty Kei with only one fan, and it is in bloom right now. I think Piping Rock orchid 'ROCK'

I have checked Zephyrus Orchids, they have nice divisions for sale, but probably not in the beginners price range . Maybe when I am more confident in keeping them alive, I will give it a second look.
I like the look of lowii and roth, but read that their type is too demanding and hard to bloom. Is it true for you?
I am going to order Paphiopedilum Saint Swithin to try my hand in multies.

One roth is getting high Cattleya light and the others are soon to join in. They are growing well and sending up new growths. Time will tell if they bllom well for me, as most are recent additions. Of course I wil keep the OB posted!

I have grown Paph. philippinense var. roebelinii before in a windosill setting adn it was a good grower and bloomer for me. Good luck on your choices.
