Default A couple of questions

I hope everyone had a great christmas and has a happy new year I have a couple of questions regarding several different type of orchids that I have. Firstly I have a cym that is growing 2 looks like new pbulbs, but I'm no expert. Where they are growing concerns me. They are both growing like this on either side of the plant. One is further along than the other. Secondly this is my gower ramsey it grew this pbulb over the summer, but from what I understand this should be a new spike considering it is growing 2nd leaf in, but it looks like another pbulb, is this comon? And lastly this is my noid mini cattleya. It has grown these 3 new leads over the summer and they don't seem to be swelling up (other 2 in pic are old)[. But I have noticed it is growing 3 more (very small) new leads. Will I ever get flowers from this one I'm pretty sure it's happy lots of new root growth and very firm leaves. Thanks for the help

p.s. her's an update to my wildcat--growing a second spike for me

On your Gower Ramsey, that may look like a psuedobulb but I'm pretty sure it's a spike. Give it a little more time and you'll know for sure. Your cattleya looks pretty good. Old psuedobulbs often wrinkle up, that's pretty normal. The new psuedobulbs should be firm with little or no wrinkling. As long as the cattleya is getting a good amount of light it should eventually bloom for you. Since it's a noid we don't know what the normal blooming season is for that orchid. You just need to have patience and it should do fine. I don't grow cymbidiums so I can't help you there. Good luck.

Your Cymbidiums may be initiating spikes. Can't tell yet, wait until they get larger. Some of mine are far along in development already and may be in full bloom in 1 - 2 months.

Certain Cattleya species and/or hybrids will not have a significant amount of swelling for their pseudobulbs. I'd say your Cattleya looks the way it should look.

In the first 2 photos it looks like they are likely spikes. You will soon know for sure. Catts can be stubborn. I have a mini ctna that is refusing to show sheaths, even though my other catts are.
