Default Custome Heating Pads

As a early Christmas present I recieved a greenhouse! It's pretty large ( 6'x8 ) and made of twin 6mm polycarbonate panels. I bought a electric heater, but only want to use it at night during the winter to save money. I looked online for heating pads, but they were all small and expensive! I got creative and found this "heated cord"
Thats supposed to be raped around pipes to stop them from freezing. My question is could I use that to make my own heated pads?

A heating pad might help the roots, but it will not substitute for a heater - the whole plant needs to stay warm.
