Default Now that the flowers have finally fallen off... Now what?

So my Orchid I bought in February finally dropped it's last flower. Now what? Do I trim the stem?

It's a Phalaenopsis as far as I know.

wait a bit...sometimes the spike will produce flowers on that same spike again...or a keiki(a seedling)...wait until the spike turns dry and dead then cut it; but if it is still green leave it alone

Ah okay. Good to know There is a green stem that hasn't quite grown that started a couple months ago, and it's still very green.

then carry on your watering regimen...fertilizer it weakly every other week and since it is winter; dont forget to water the humidity tray( tray with pebbles under the pot ) just dont let the water reach the pot=let it stay in the pebbles level

My phal lost its flowers but the infloresence never dried up the whole way, the last 3" did, and it put out a keiki about 7 months after.
