Mounting or Potting?

Have 2 new plants, a Den. Hancockii and a Den. Bracteosum, and not sure if they would grow better mounted or in a wooden basket or pot. Any suggestions would help.

you are in zone 10a...you can stick both Dens up a tree and just hose it...just make sure it doesnt get to taste the frosty nights(I highly doubt it if you have frost in your area)
you can mount it=need to water more
pot it= coarse large mix and once a week watering
R/H= you dont need to water it except every two weeks flush it and fertilizer it

but outdoors is the best up a tree branch or even on the largest bark of a tree...in 5 years it will get to grow around the tree, become a huge specimen and give you magnificent show of blooms

I didn't realize it would grow that large so I guess mounting straight on the tree would be the best.
