Default Crown Rot?

What do yall think? Most of the roots look good I thought. The leaves turned yellow and fell off. The one remaining has a small brown spot but its not getting any worse.

No, that is not crown rot (caused by letting water sit in the crown - the middle of the leaves. You only have that central leaf remaining.

It will likely survive, but not if you don't cure whatever resulted in the loss of the other leaves.

The leaves may have died because of water getting in the base of the leaves. That'll do it. Regardless, I would cut the beautiful spikes off and put them in a vase. Having only one leaf, your plant cannot sustain the blooms without essentially killing itself. Good luck!

Gotta agree with Ray and Gage. I think Gage is right on the cause. Probably got some water down in the leaf crease at the base of the plant, and it never had a chance to evaporate. Also, I think you need to cut the blooms as well. Put them in some sugar water and they'll last a while, but the plant might not make it if you dont cut them off. Roots and the sole leaf look healthy, so it'll probably survive if it's not putting energy into those blooms. good luck

Glad to hear it will make it. I just lost my first orchid the other day so I was worried about losing this one also. How often do Phals grow new leaves?

Your phal will probably grow a new leaf pretty soon if it's not expending all its energy on the flowers.

I think mine has crown rot, if you want to look at the pictures there. Sad for me, but if it helps you that's good!

I also agree with Ray. No sign of crown rot. It could be rotting from the bottom up as in the link provided by kmccormic. If there was no black when you re-potted it I would just cut the spike and water it carefully-not getting it too wet. Once the spike is gone, it will likely begin to grow a new leaf.
