I also agree with Ray. No sign of crown rot. It could be rotting from the bottom up as in the link provided by kmccormic. If there was no black when you re-potted it I would just cut the spike and water it carefully-not getting it too wet. Once the spike is gone, it will likely begin to grow a new leaf.
