everyone my oncidium has finally started to open it's flowers and I am wondering what it is mixed with? It is a noid that was just marked oncidium when I bought it (sadly no flowers, but marked down ) in the spring-early summer. During the time I have had it it has grown a new pbulb and made me some flowers of which I think are really pretty. Anyway I guess I'm growing it right, but one can always do better, so if anyone has any ideas on the culture e.g. needing a rest ex. that would be great. Many thanks
I also got a kick out of your dog... picturing the balloon above him reading "Hey, enough with the plants... remember me? Can I come in please?" [/QUOTE]
too funny thanks anyway...i thinkl both are keepers lol
I know its a NOID but it sure looks like several of the Colmanara Wildcat hybrids. Odontocidium is the other name. I have a Wildcat and the plant looks similar and mine is in spike right now. They take cool to intermediate temps and med to low light. Well draining media such as bark mixed with a bit of moss, perlite etc, and water just as it starts to dry. Very nice!
