Default One mount with several plants - bad idea?

I mounted several mini-phals on one log, was it a bad idea? Here is the picture:

There are 4 plants, from left to right:
Phal. gibbosa seedling, Phal parishii seedling, Haraella retrocalla baby and Phal. lobbii blooming sized with two spikes on the top.
Because there are seedlings I put some sphag under the base of each plant.
I mounted lobbii because I just killed one potted into sphag, then there was still a lot of space on the wood piece, so I put seedlings all over.
They sould be ok, right?
Thank you for looking

The only issue might be if you get a bug, disease or virus going on then they would be able to easily travel from one plant to the other. However, that also would happen if you had them just sitting next to each other to display them as well.

Thank you, Merlyn and Ron.
I will post the pictures when/if Phal. lobbii blooms.
Sadly the others are years from flowering I think.

Thank you for the warning Paul. I will be watching them closely.

No problem. What you did is something I'm wanting to do as well actually, lol... The funny thing is that it's really no different than a terrarium - in that you have many plants confined to a small space.

On another visit to your question, water requirements should also be taken into consideration as well.

But overall, if everything checks out, it looks great! I can't wait to see it in bloom!!!

It's worth a try. Maybe you'll become the expert on this method and we can all learn from you. Good luck.

As long as the plants involved all have similar requirements, it should be fine. I would most be worried about the Haraella drying out too quickly.

I don't mount orchids but it sure looks nice and it's not like they are all bound up together or anything. I am assuming they all have similar needs as well?

I agree that if the plants have the same growing requirements, there should be no problem.
I do this with pieces of divisions on occasion, no tags etc.
