You could try ebay or most of the growers that sell orchids have books on their web sites.

The first book I had when I began was, Complete Guide to Orchids. It is published by Ortho Books and could be found in most bookstores or online. It was my "go to" reference for a long time... now with a few years under my belt, I'd like to get OrchidWiz but haven't the budget for it.

I agree with BikerDoc, that was my first "go to" book as well. I have not personally read "Orchids for Dummies" yet, but I have heard a lot of very good things about it as well.

You might try amazon.com. I know they have a Europe website, but I"m not so sure about a Canadian one. But since it is a book, I'm sure there would not be an issue with a seller in the U.S. sending it to you in Canada.

Lee Valley is a good suggestion. They have William Cullina's book in "soft" cover. Also try your local public library, and if you can, become a member of an orchid society.
BTW: WELCOME
