I suggest you replant this in a basket with sphagnum and coarse bark that will help it retain moisture ...unless you have a humidifier and heater to give it constant temperature and moisture...it is mounted so you need to water it more often...bulbos need humidity bigtime and Florida, CA and some southern states have lots of humidity in the air...sadly you are in zone 6a...and it is approaching winter = the air is dryer ...just moisturize the plant is all...

Third vote for dehydration. The plant is sacrificing growths it can't support. Has humidity dropped lately with furnace coming on for winter?

Fit BMX - Unfortunately there isn't a lot of cultural information available on your Bulbophyllum. So let's start with where it comes from, that would be Myanmar and Thailand. Two countries that are steamy in the summers and not much cooler in the winter with very high humidity. I think that I can safely assume that it grows on the trunks of trees, which would mean that it would get dappled light.
Given the info above, I would pot the plant in a light and airy mix that retains moisture, try to increase the humidity around the plant and move it to a less bright location.
Hope this helps.

I think it needs more water. My thought is all those growths need to be on the mount instead of hanging in the air. I would remount in such a way that all growths are touching the mount with some sphag, and give the lead more room on the mount to grow onto. My 2 cents.

right, re-mount it in a long stick or a drift wood with moss to retain moisture...if its in a 55 gallon viv...then its going to survive...no need for heater or humidifiers...the viv will take care of that

You might want to dunk it in water and leave it for a few minutes. The p-bulbs on yours look very shrivelled up which is a sign of lack of water. If you see further shrivelling, then it needs more water/humidity. I don't know if you'll be able to get the current pbulbs plumped up or not, but you might want to try dunking it in water for about 2 to 5 minutes on a daily basis to assist with water retention until you get your new set up done - and watch to see what happens.
