It would appear so, just haven't found the right deal for me yet, lol... If I had the space I'd jump on the Carmela Orchids deal!!!

To all you "Black Friday Buyers" out there Buyers beware! You get what you pay for and maybe some genera you simply get swept away buying but do not have the conditions to keep them alive. No real bargain in my book.
The best way to get "deals" is to develop a personal business relationship with the growers. Talk to them, meet them if possible and they will soon learn that you are a serious grower/hobbyist. Once that relationship is established, bargains will come your way with plants you really want, not just what they may have an overstock of to get you in the door. If not, you are dealing with the wrong people.
Carmela is one of the most generous nurseries I have ever had business with - all year long. Just get to know them!

Carmela orchids is a really fantastic place to do business with. Best in HI w/o doubt. My last order was a 10 plant vandaceous deal, with free shpg the plants came out to ~4.50 ea. and a couple were well above blooming size. I've already had 3 of the 10 bloom in the past month, AND they actually allowed me to pick 8 of the 10 plants by name, even though the deal mentioned they pick for you! The plants were large and healthy. Great vendor, and great deals.

Cym Ladye, you are correct with what you are stating about getting to know vendors and other growers. I just had never thought about black friday in relation to orchids until this year, and thought I'd look around and ask about it. Unfortunately, I'm at a point where I am far more particular about what I receive as I am running out of room, and now talk with the friends I've made about getting exactly what I want as opposed to a lot of impulse buys.
However, I have added Carmela to my must talk to/watch list, lol...
