Default Aeranthes ramosa pictures

Not sure where this post belongs so I put it here Sorry no flowers at this time, but I thought I would post some pictures of this since it just arrived today and I thought it was on bit on the side of being tattered....I thought could have been told that a few leaves were a little on the rough side.....but that is just me...maybe I expect perfection....lol. More pictures to come....

A quick explanation....the first photo of the pot is what was left, except the plant, of the potting medium in the pot. It didn't look like much really fell out in the box either, but it is hard to say with a bunch of foamies in the box. I tried using a Dyna Gro bottle for a comparison of size, but I am not the best at taking pictures.

Yes, but the damage appears to be old...I am sure it didn't happen while it was in the box being shipped to me....

Oh, no. I think whatever it was would have climbed out of the box and eaten you, too. This appears to have been there a while. Are you going to request a new plant instead?

Jeepers are you sure they didn't ship it to your cym eating racoons first? Wow that's a tough looking plant. Hopefully you didn't pay too much for it. Roots look healthy enough though. I'm sure it will be fine.

Dang, that's a shame, would have knocked me for a loop if I received it. At least it could have shaved and put on a bit a new pair of shoes huh.

I really do agree, the plant will be ok, cut back the string-like leaf left-overs, give it some TLC and am sure you will be rewarded.

Have you contacted the seller/vendor?

This was the most I have ever payed for an orchid...lets just say I could have bought two BS orchids for the price of this one. No I haven't contacted the seller yet, they were recommended by a very reputable person so I was quite surprised when I received it...plus they had great customer service and super fast shipping....I was trust trying to weigh my options I guess....I need to find some potting medium for it since it all disappeared.

The plant does not look so good but I think it will survive. The roots look good. Its just frustrating to receive a plant this condition. Not worth the price. Need lots of TLC.
