How could I resist? Rescue Phal
Default How could I resist? Rescue Phal

For the last few weeks every time I've gone in a local Sainsburies I've admired one of their orchids. I told myself I don't need another noid phal (especialy as I've promised myself I'll get some none-noid orchids once I've put up some shelves for them!) But nobody else bought it, and today it had a reduced label on it, and I realised the 'best by' date was today!

I could probably get one similar cheaper at Columbia Road... but I couldn't let it go in the bin!

Not regretting it a bit. It's actually in good condition. I'm also seeing more details like the stripes in it's throat (if that's the right word) and the dash of lilac on the underside of the lip. Only wish I could have saved more!

(Photo taken without flash, with flash it looked pink!)

Gorgeous. I've looked at these ones in Sainsbury's as well as I don't have one that colour. I've been more restrained though and managed to leave it so far

It's a lovely NOID! I have a number of NOID Phals and they bloom as well, last as long and give me as much joy as any of the named ones.
