That's good - how big is the pot? If the media is old, which it likely is if you haven't repotted, I wouldn't think it would need such frequent watering - tho if it's a very small pot, and indoors with forced warm air heat going frequently, it might be possible Tho my potted den-phals do fine being kept on the moister side, at least during warm weather.

My golden rule is that more plants are killed by kindness than neglect. People overwater and overfertilize, stressing the orchid and making it prone to fungal infection. A regime of benign neglect works wonders for my orchids!
