ryrycochinco, even if you have to wait until spring for your lobbii, it's worth the wait. X-mas in May is a wonderful experience.
Orchideya: if you are reluctant to mount an ailing phal, try to add some small styrofoam pellets to the mix, that's how I grow most of my mini phals, and they seem to thrive. My lobbii came mounted, so I left it that way, and the roots of my tenaelis are too long. Phal. lobbii is part of the group that is deciduous in nature, so maybe that's just it.
