One of my phals with a side spike
I find this pretty amazing - this is the spike i cut off the plant above when it was down to one flower, i put it in a glass of water in my kitchen, the flower is about 6 months old now but more amazing is that it's started a new small bud at the tip of the spike

I have a Den like your Emma white, sii and it too has been giving a really good display - it spent late summer in my greenhouse, and then came in when the temperature started to drop at night. Being so far north it likes the extra light out there, but can't tke the cold

This is the first orchid I ever got...Phal. Golden Peoker x Phal. Leucorrhoda
Funny enough its from RF in Miami and its not a Vanda!
It currently has four separate spikes and reliably puts off new spikes from previous ones.

My Trigonidium egertonianum is pushing out two spikes right now. Thought I'd share.

Just saw this on my oncidium noid:
I swear that thing popped out of no where overnight. One day I'm looking at the wrinkling on that middle leaf wondering if something is wrong with the watering... and 2 days later there's a spike there!
For an orchid whose roots looked like this just a month ago, I was shocked to see a spike forming now. There's not even a developed pseudobulb for it yet!
