How long does it take for a spike to grow?

Since I'm new here and don't know much about orchids I thought you guys could help me.

I was just wondering how long it takes for a Phal spike to grow and bloom? Here's a pic of the spike now.

It would take a month and a half to two months before your blooms open...asumming that your buds didnt blast...if you keep on changing the placement of your plants chances are the buds will blast or sulk and wont bloom til next season...you must be doing something right for the plant to spike...good growing !
