Default Burned two Phals

Okay so I had a blond moment.....I left two of my phals outside after cleaning them. The moss seemed a little on the wet side and I figured "hey it is dry out here so I will just leave them out in the shade for a bit." Well the dang sun moved to quickly on my and the next thing I know several leaves are showing huge burnt spots Gosh what was I thinking! I hope they will survive and bloom for me someday. Does burning the leaves set back blooming or spiking?

I experienced something similar this weekend. I put my Blc. next to my east facing window on Sat morning. By Sat afternoon, two leaves had burns on them, nothing leaf threatening though. The leaves will survive, and I hope the plant blooms for me. So I want to know the answer to your question as well.

The plant should bloom according to season if the damage is not extensive (the plant can handle loss of 50% of foliage without harm) and from now on receives the right amount of light. If the growth point in the center of the plant is burned then the plant may die by the natural dying of old leaves without replenishing with new ones.

I'll try and take some pictures to post. In my opinion, I think a large portion of the leaves are burned, but only time will tell if they will bounce back!

if the cells have been damaged bad enough you will lose the leaves. as far as setting it back on the blooms only it will know. the plant it's self should be fine

I agree. I've seen some pretty bad sun damage on leaves (my bad) and the plant grew new ones and bloomed. These guys are pretty strong. I also think to ere on the hi-light side is better than low-light if you want blossoms.
