I'd worry more about the electronics then the orchids, if it were me. Only one thing takes precedence over my orchids and that's my electronics.

Hey Blondie. I love your pics. VERY nice. Hey, you mentioned the candles and kitties. That is just what I came tonight to ask folks. I have only 5 plants right now and they are all on a shelf in my sunroom southeast window. My kitties have been visiting them and I have a couple of leaf tips on my Vanda and one tip of an aerial root chewed. How are someways besides candles to keep them off? You know?

Linda

Put a row of empty soda cans in front of the flowers for a few days. They'll FREAK when they jump up there and it makes all that noise. Also, a layer of double-sided sticky tape around the edge of the table can help. They hate that!!

I just try to keep my plants up as high as I can where I have not seen the kitties venture before. Good luck! Does the orchid chewing make your kitties sick at all?

No, haven't seen any evidence of sick kitties, but I have worried about that. Thanks for the advice---Linda

NIce plants Blondie.

Look at all those orchids - I would love to work in a place like that with all those plants.
