Default Anyone in UK or Europe know where I can buy Paph Pinocchio?

My Paph Pinocchio was found rotted at the weekend

I'm struggling to find one at the moment to replace it. David Stead who I bought it from is now apparently doing less and is in Australia. Burnham and Peter White don't have it (who are my other favoured suppliers).

Peter White has suggested I try Rattcliff Orchids (which I'm about to do).

Anyone know where else I can try (google search comes up with pictures or USA sites to buy it).

I REALLY want to replace this orchid, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rattcliff can't help either. Everywhere I've spoken to says they've not seen it around recently and it does not seem to be in fashion just now

I'll have a look around for you at the places that I know carried it in the past. Hopefully it'll be somewhere with reasonable shipping costs for you...

It seems to have disappeared! So many growers had it before (I got one don't remember where, but it was a victim of the lost package fiasco)

Nardotto e Capello has it for 12,50€, but shipping is really steep to the UK (24-25€). Paph Pinocchio

I checked close to 15 vendors, and not one has it. So unless someone else comes up a vendor, Nardotto is currently seems to be the only place that carries it.

I was given one two years ago that was grown at a local nursery but it didn't last 6 months - I think they are really difficult in a room environment, Rosie. I'll see if they have any and get back to you

Thanks for looking guys.

I'll check out Nardatto, but will probably have to get some others as well to make the shipping worth it.

One of the vendors I spoke to said that the people who breed these from seed produce 10's of thousands at a time, then don't breed them again for many years because they have saturated the market. So when they are about, ALL the vendors have then, but then they disappear again. She thought it could be a few more years before they appear again

Whether what she says is true or not, I don't know. Although I do know when I bought it pretty much every vendor at the show had it.

If I had known about this sooner it would have been possible to do a joint order there, ship them to france (only 13€ and I'd pay shipping since I'd get plants too), pick them up when I go home next weekend and forward yours from NL (12€ish I think). But now it might be a bit tight, I'm only in Lyon 5 days, until late the 3rd... Order tomorrow and they may/may not ship out this coming moday-tuesday, depends on how quickly they process orders.
