Aerial roots of Phalli collapsing

Many aerial roots on my recently bought Phalli seem to have collapsed. It is in a see through pot and all the "underground" roots are green and succulent. Is this a sign of not enough water?

That just means your growing area is to dry, I suggest you start misting your plant to increase the humity.

You can also buy a humidifier (I did) and that helps. I just got the basic warm mist vicks brand. It work well, is easy to use, and I can place on a timer (when needed).

The Phalli I refer to is just one in a group of 7 all in close proximity yet none of the others are acting up. I have shallow trays of water in the cluster to keep humidity up but I will do the misting thing - thanks for your help.
