Default New order-what do I do now?

Hi everyone,

I just got my long awaited package in the mail and am quite dismayed. What do you guys think of these?
My apple blossom came with no tag ( I assume this is the appleblossom as it was the only untagged one) Part of the plant fell out with no roots, the other part is falling out with few roots. The phal nodosa was sent in spike, but the leaves are all completely pleated and one is covered in spots. The phal bellina also has pleated squishy leaves. I waited so long for these...what do I do now? Are they going to be OK?

My question exactly. This looks very dismal at best.

Phal venosa, not nodosa, I hope... I don't know there is a phal nodosa.

Where did you get them? E-bay? I wouldn't ever send a plant in the condition the Apple Blossom is in.... Phal venosa will often have wavy leaves, if they are turgid it doesn't look like a bad plant. If they are limp and floppy, and it doesn't perk up with a good soaking, then bad... Pull it out of the pot and check the roots (root, actually, if that).

For what it is worth, the Apple Blossom (the main plant anyway) will survive if you get it into the right sized pot (smaller by several inches than the one it is in) and stake it well so it won't wobble. They are pretty indestructible. Still not worth actually paying for a plant like that, though.

Sheesh-my bad. I was so frustrated I got the name wrong-it is a nodosa. The leaves are turgid and a lovely green, I am just worried about the spots on the leaf on the bottom.
I didn't want to post where I got them because I didn't want to falsely bash anyone...it wasn't ebay. It was a place that many people here got plants from last month. (hint hint)

Pinkcat, try soaking them in warm water for twenty minutes and then allowing them to dry somewhere nice and shady, but still warm. The roots on one of your plants looks all shriveled up. Hope they come through for you!

Hi ,
The Phals. will probably be alright , some of the species type get the wavey leaves .
Contact the grower about the Catt. that is just not right to send a plant like that to anyone . Give them the chance to make it good , if they won't and you charged it to a card dispute the charges .. on all of them easier for them to replace or credit one plant then have them all disputed . I am sorry know how dissapointing it is .. Gin

Seeing as everybody had minor problems with our orders last month ( hint, hint), I'd contact them and let them know I'm not happy with the plants received.

There are many places you can spend your hard-earned money and get top quality orchids.

Never settle for less
