Algae in clear Phallie pot

The newest leaf on one of my largest phallies, currently with 2 spikes emerging has a purple mottled effect & I am wondering if this is because there is a considerable amount of algae on the sides of the clear pot. Should I tip the plant out and clean off the algae with hydrogen peroxide. I am a bit hesitant to do this as the spikes are growing extremely well and I don't want to interrupt this. I think the bark medium has broken down quite a bit too. I have only had it for a few months, so I don't know how long since it has been repotted.

the purple pigmentation of the leaf im suspecting is caused by light intensity and is anthramycin. the plant is at the highest light it can take without burning. if you dont like the purple leaves move the plant back out of the light some and in time it will return green if all else is well. the algae is just algae. I clean it up, but as far as I can tell with my own plants, its just algae. my own signal that my plants are doing well if algae is growing for me.

thanks RJS, I'll move it to a spot with less light. Then I think I will leave the plant for the time being as don't want to risk the spikes. When they have finished I will repot & clean it.

Any time you have light+moisture+nutrition, you're going to have algae. It does absolutely no harm to the plant.

Repotting the plant to remove it will be far more disruptive than leaving it alone.
