I am in tampa fl and cooler fall weather is here (yay!). What temps are too low to have orchids outside at? I have some phal, catt, den, and vandas. Also if it is fine in the day and too low night do I cover/bring in or only when the 24 hour temps are too low? Its my first winter with orchids so advice is appreciated.
PS is it even possible to cover orchids like ground plants or is bringing inside the only way?
I bring my phals inside when the night temps get to the low 60's. The catts stay out until low 50's and the cyms are the last to come in right before the frost.

Phals and vandas prefer it hot. Allowed to get too cold (I agree with your 60° cutoff for them), the vandas will slam on the brakes and go dormant, and the phals will lose their roots.
