Default Ecuagenera question

I know that lot's people buy from them and are happy with purchases.
On their website I found cattleya that was on my wish list forever and pre-ordered it (and couple more other things of course)to pickup at the show. The website listing doesn't state the size of the plant.
Could I assume that they would be mature plants ready to bloom?

Usually I'm happy with their stuff and the quality has improved recently, I think, but it can be a bit uneven and one has to be able and willing to baby some of the plants a bit, but unless it says that what you are getting is a seedling, I would assume it's mature.

I would second what Ron has said. Last year I ordered a number of Lycaste and others in this alliance. Some recovered from the shock quickly while others are still struggling. All of the plants were at least 4" pot size and some were 6" pot. Part of this issue may be me and my growing conditions or lack there of. Overall I am happy with my plants and will order from them again to pick up at show.

Thank you Ron. I really want that Cattleya araguaiensis, so would take any size, just was curious since usually all other vendors specify the size.
I just discovered Ecuagenera for myself and spent hours going through all the species they have. Of course couldn't resist and ordered also
Masdevallia amplexa
and
Dracula lotax
just to see if I will be able to grow these guys (they were fairly cheap, I thought I would give it a try).
If you have any suggestions about those two, please share.

Thank you BikerDoc. 4 inch is pretty good size. I am looking forward to getting my new chids!

I got two masdies and an encylia cordigera last year from them. They are all fine and healthy which hasn't always been the case with bare root plants I have ordered from others. My encyclia hasn't bloomed yet and I would call it near bloom size rather than bloom size. But their prices seem very good and I wouldn't hesitate buying from them.

I do find their web site not up to date and if there isn't a price, they usually don't have it. You have to go by their price list which I can't download lately. I haven't e-mailed them about that because I need to cut back spending anyways. But I am getting a miltonia Sunset when they come to Calgary on the 14th of Oct.

Most of the time their plants are fairly good. A few times I got a few small plants bundled together as a large plant. It's good that you are picking the plants up at the show, don't hesitate to unwrap the plants in front of the rep to examine plants before you accept them! If you don't like the plant size or condition, don't take it.

Thank you Silken and Jorch.
Silken I agree, their prices are very good. That's the reason I dared to buy one dracula and one masdie to try. So if there is no success - not too much money wasted I ordered from website, paid with paypal and received receipt confirmation from Ecuagenera, so, I guess, my selection is in stock and now reserved for me to pick up.

Jorch, that's a good advice. Last time I was picking from show, I didn't think to check them out (total newb), but luckily it was Cloud's - nice healthy plants.

They usually mail to me blooming size...they will indicate if it is a seedling and seedlings come very cheap like under $7
