When is the best time to transplant the Fdk? It is in sphag and is huge. I don't want to mess up the flower cycle. This is the only Cts. I have ever tried. Thanks again.

Before it starts to grow roots in the spring is my suggestion. Wait until it goes fully dormant, repot it, but don't water until the new growths are a couple inches tall or you see the old pseudobulbs start to shrivel.

exactly, that's the way to go! Do not be afraid of cutting off all teh roots when the plant in dormant (actually this is recommended when repotting Catasetinae - even though not alway, but those are more exceptions to the rule and need some experience!). As for starting watering, more important than the growth itself, are the roots. Wait until they are at least 2 or 3 inches long (sometimes the roots grow a lot quicker than the new growth!)
