I prefer my phals to be nice, neat, tidy, and organized. And for the most part, they are, except for the one rebel.
He is a NOID and a very big boy. The leaf span from tip to tip is 16+ inches. Every time I repot, I try to convice him that he really wants to grow up and not flop. However, he just continues to be a flopper and I'm affraid that it's just going to fall right out of the pot one day, roots and all. Currently it is a good spag mix in a plastic pot. I have to put this pot inside a ceramic orchid pot, just so it stays upright. When it spikes, it puts out a good number of large flowers. Is there another way to grow such a big chid?
