Yep, masdevallia (masdie for short) is a genus. Note that miltonias and masdies are both cool growers, so be sure you have a nice cool and humid place to keep them. If you want to grow them outside in FL, vanda are great. So are related varieties like Rhynchostylis gigantea.

If you like cattleyas and catt-types, you can try out some hybrids or even some species like Laelia purpurata and Laelia anceps.
