Most of mine are either young or rehabbing so I don't have yearround blooms, YET. But, it's coming! Glad to know that I am in the middle of the road as far as 'how many' goes.

That was my self fulfilled early on fantasy of always having an orchid in bloom !!! Turned into just a BIT more than what I expected with my 146 right now inside !!! And it only took up 2 rooms in my 6 room duplex (counting kitchen and bath !) oops, I don't count the basement cause there's no room for anything but the piles of stuff !!!! Maybe it's those 24 - 36" babies that are busy growing up taking all the room !!!

It'll probably take me a long time to get there. My husband is in the Army, so we move A LOT. We've got orders to OK, and I'm trying to figure out how we're going to take a macaw, 2 dogs and all my chids in 2 cars!

WOW. That's a lot to stuff in cars! I'm used to moving around a lot, and buying mainly mini orchids makes a huge difference. You can have lots of orchids, yet they're easy to pack into shoe boxes and such.

Lol. It is, I could put my plants in the mover's truck but I'm afraid that they won't fair well. Especially when we move (April of next year) we won't be getting our things that are on the truck until a week or so afterwards.

Thank you! We'll have movers, but I don't want to take the chance with the orchids getting thrown around in the truck.

I have a very talkative Blue and Gold on my hands. Lol. He's a whopping 1552 grams though. He's HUGE compared to other B&Gs. I wanted a green wing! I think they are by far the most beautiful macaws.
