Hi There:

With so many new orchid newbies, the only place they know to experience/obtain orchids is online or the generic ones at the grocery store. It might be nice to list out the major orchid shows in the country. I mean major shows as in "has been around for years and will likely be around for years to come" - in other words a reliable expectation they will always run each year.

Here's the one I know about:
Boston, Massachusetts
Produced by the Massachusetts Orchid Society
Runs around early November
Information page: Massachusetts Orchid Society - Annual Show

Hmmm, well, we do have a folder (don't really know of a better word) for Orchid Clubs and Societies. But I don't know, we will have to wait to see what Marty thinks.

I think this is what the "Orchid Show Announcement" sub-forum is intended for. See the link Bob has given.

I'm not sure there is much point in a sticky when we have a whole section for people to post details of up-coming shows in. I'm not sure what a sticky would add to this.

Thank you RosieC, Help, and TheBlazingAugust. I did look for such a thread before posting. I feel a bit sheepish now.

The dates change on the orchid society shows from year to year although many Clubs attempt to keep to the first weekend or last weekend of a particular month if they can. Just watch the previously mentioned site and good luck. Now, the rest of us just have to remember to post our club shows!
