I know how you feel. I take the sick, lame, and nearly dead from different places and try to nurse them back to health. I seldom purchase a large well grown orchid preferring to see if I can bring the dead back from the brink. It takes awhile but I just can't bring myself to throw anything away until it is surely positively dead. So congrats on bringing you phal back to life. I'm sure it will recover and give you years of beautiful flowers.
Surely looks like a new leaf! Good job on the rescue. It seems that most sick phals will drop their leaves and grow new ones once they can sustain them.
Thanks James, Joann, and bball. Yeah, the rescue isn't over yet, but I'm hopeful she'll make it. I also started using a growth enhancement with extra nutrients, which should help out a bit.
