Default Sulfur to seal plant wounds?

I have read here to use cinnamon to seal a plant wound. I have also read to use sulfur. Does anyone know why sulfur would be used to seal a plant wound?

Sulfur is an antibiotic. Medics used it in WW2 and Vietnam, and they may even still use sulfur powder today in the field. There are also many antibiotic drugs that are sulfur based.

yup it just helps keep the disease away, since cuts allow the entry of pathogens.

Cinnamon is a natural fugicide, and is handy to have around

If sulfur was as available as cinnamon, which would you choose, and why?
