Should I repot?

Wow, that's crazy that it's from too much light! It's about as far from any window as it could be in my house besides being put in a closet!
Do I need to repot in a larger pot? (I'm going to assume I do) Unfortunately it's already in a 6" pot, which is about as big as I've seen available on the web. Maybe I'll have to try tupperware?

I've had certain crosses start with purplish leaves that change to green later as they mature. From the sounds of yours, I really doubt the light is too high - in a closet? What about the rest of the leaves - are they deep green? This usually means very low light. My suspition is this plants wants to grow, more than you want it to. It's surviving just about all the attempts to rot it . I still think cutting the flower spikes is the sound thing since it will put the energy into leaves. After a couple leaves mature, give it a chill at night (55-65) for a few weeks then move back to its old home. Should see new spikes soon after that.

LOL! It's not actually in a closet! Our house is actually quite bright and the furthest you can get from a window is about 4 feet (unless I put it in a closet, or the middle of the floor or stairs or something! LOL)A
Also, the leaves are a 'normal' green colour. I don't think they're dark green... but who knows

Some say that a purple tinge on the underside of leaves indicates the flower will be pink or maroon.

If it's already in a 6 incher, I would place it back in a 6 inch pot but see if you can find a wider base. If I remember correctly your pot is narrow and deep. You might be removing some of the old roots that are tired and this will make more room. When I exceed a pot size and don't want to go larger I have in the past placed a root or two outside the pot making for some additional room.
